In all honesty the film Cinema Paradiso was one of my favorites out of all of the ones we have watched all year. I really liked the work of the camera man and the actor that played Salvatore "Toto" Di Vita when he was a teenager and the actress that played Elena Mendola. The thing that drew me in to like what the cinematographer Blasco Giurato was doing was the positive tone that the film always had even when their was a tragic time in the film. One instance of this was when Toto and Elena lost contact with each other and Toto was not feeling good about that, but the general tone of the scene always kept some hope in background and you knew that something would work out right.
